WASHING SODA CRYSTALS

A multipurpose, easily dissolved, low

allergy natural product and it contains

approximately 40% sodium carbonate.

This versatile product has been used

for many years in a variety of

domestic & industrial applications. It

is a non-toxic, user-friendly product to

use and store, providing useful and

inexpensive cleaning either on their

own or as a companion to most

alkaline cleaners.

 DIRECTIONS:

General Cleaning:

For general washing down of floors, walls

and work areas use Soda Crystals

dissolved in water. The addition of Soda

Crystals to cleaning solutions for cleaning

fat and greasy deposits from floors, walls,

concrete areas and work benches etc,

enhances the performance of soaps and

cleansers, greatly assists detergent

grease cutting qualities & inhibits killing

of detergent action by grease & fats.

Soda Crystals should not be used on

aluminium.

Industrial Use:

Washing Soda Crystals have particular

application to abattoirs, freezing works

and meat processing plants where a

safe, non-toxic material for cleaning fat

from floors and walls is required.

Excellent as a general cleaner in food

storage and preparation areas. For

example, Soda crystals dissolved in

water may be used as a water softener in

tripe processing or as a user-friendly floor

cleaner in boning rooms.

Domestic Use

In most instances, Soda Crystals need to

be diluted with water making up one of

the following solutions:

Mild - 1 tablespoon to 500ml of water

Regular - Half a cup to 500ml of water

Strong - 1 cup to 500ml of water

Soda Crystals are very effective but are

also gentle. However, if you are

submerging your hands in a soda crystal

solution for a long time, it is advisable to

wear rubber gloves - especially if you

have sensitive skin.

(a) Laundry

NB Always test fabrics for colour

fastness before using Soda Crystals

to soak, wash or remove stains

 Low Allergy Laundering: If, for

allergy reasons, regular Laundry

Powder cannot be used then

substitute it with an equal amount of

Soda Crystals. A longer wash or

pre-soaking in Soda Crystals may

be necessary for heavily soiled

items.

 General machine wash: By adding

half a cup of Soda Crystals to your

wash load you will soften the water

and need to use less of your usual

powder.

 Greasy work clothes and stains:

Soda Crystals are renowned for

their ability to dissolve grease. Soak

greasy clothes and textiles overnight

in a Regular solution, before

washing normally.

 Cleaning your Washing Machine:

To clean the drum, remove smells

and kill bacteria add one cup of

Soda Crystals to the detergent

dispenser on an empty cycle and

run on the longest hottest wash.

This will eliminate any detergent

from the pipes, leaving your washing

machine sparkling and working

more efficiently.

(b) Kitchen

 Cleaning Blackened/Burnt Pans:

A Strong Soda Crystal solution is

very effective for removing burnt-on

grease and food from pans, dishes

and grill pans. Soak stubborn debris

overnight in a Regular solution.
