Protecta Foam 20L

PROTECTA FOAM is a foaming chlorinated alkaline detergent for use in the removal of a wide range of food soils including animal and vegetable fats, blood and protein. Protecta Foam contains a unique blend of ingredients that provide effective cleaning. Protecta Foam is suitable for a range of water conditions and contains corrosive inhibitors to protect soft metals. It is silicate-free, which prevents residue build-up on surfaces. The presence of hypochlorite assists removal of organic and vegetable-based stains. Protecta Foam is suitable for use in foam application equipment. MPI Approved C31.

Instructions for Use

Protecta Foam may be applied by foam application equipment such as Dema or Lafferty Foamers. It may also be applied using low pressure equipment or by manual scrubbing. Maximum recommended temperature is 65°C.
Do not mix with acids or oxidising or reducing agents.

Dilutions

• For Heavy Soils experienced in Meat Processing Plants: 1-5%v/v
• Light Duty Cleaning: 1 - 2%v/v

Characteristics:

Pale yellow liquid with chlorine odour.

MATERIALS OF CONSTRUCTUION COMPATIBILITY

Protecta Foam is compatible with most materials commonly encountered in food processing plants when used at the recommended concentration and temperature. Under laboratory conditions, metals exposed to 2.5%v/v solutions of Protecta Foam at 20°C for 24 hours did not exceed the following corrosion mass changes.
